A meditation on loss and the quiet resilience of the human spirit. Set on a remote lake in the Pacific Northwest, the film follows a woman returning to her childhood home after twenty years away, navigating the spaces between memory and reality.
Shot over nine days in late autumn using only natural light, Still Water embraces a visual language of stillness and reflection. Long, contemplative shots mirror the protagonist's internal landscape — each frame composed with the precision of a photograph, each cut motivated by emotion rather than convention.
The film premiered at the Portland Film Festival and was selected for Sundance's Short Film Program in 2024. It has since screened at twelve international festivals and won the Grand Prize at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
